Vale of Tears

At the edges of our property, there’s an area filled with Lily of the Valley. Every year, it expands just a little more, gradually covering the less attractive parts of the land. One of its religious names is “Mary’s Tears”. I love how the tiny flowers dot the leaves, like tears falling down a mother’s cheek—a vale of tears.

I created this piece is for all those who mourn on Mother's Day.
